Through Our Lens Online Auction Opens

Today on behalf of Man Up Campaign US, Inc., Harry Belafonte and Gloria Steinem, co-sponsors of our recent art show, “Through Our Lens: Photographers Reflect on Empowerment." At the New York event, supporters like you helped us raise monies toward achieving ManUp’s mission of ending violence against women, worldwide. Attendees were inspired by the powerful images of 50 top photographers and moved by our young delegates, whose testimonies spoke to our charge.

Today, we invite you to the art show, as we take the auction online. You can show your support for ManUp’s mission from wherever you are by joining us for an online art auction TODAY at The artworks go online today, May 17th and the auction closes May 31st at 8PM, ET. Tell your friends, local media and any art lovers you meet: anyone and everyone can participate at You can walk away with a stunning piece of award-winning photography to grace your walls and fund the community-level work our Man Up youth activists are doing in two dozen communities across the globe, while moving us closer to the goal of mounting our second Young Leaders’ Summit.

As you know, in order to break the cycle of violence against women and girls around the world, Man Up was created to give young people a voice in developing models of change that truly address the issue. Our delegates are active in 24 countries across the world, and they are creating change on this issue every day: Man Up is in its second year, and while we’re proud of our accomplishments to date, there’s still more work to be done. The mission sounds simple – activating youth to stop violence against women and girls – but the work is complex, and requires dedicated supporters like you to create real, sustainable change. Your involvement in this art auction will make a lasting difference in the lives of young people - men and women - in their quest to live happy, violence-free lives.
